The Institut für Mikroelektronik Stuttgart (IMS CHIPS) develops and manufactures innovative customer-specific products in the microelectronic, micro system technology and optical systems fields. The focus lies on CMOS circuits, specialized silicon processes, e-beam nano structures and optical sensors. The research facility headed by Prof. Dr. Joachim Burghartz has 90 employees and is a trust foundation under public law. It is a member of the Innovationsallianz of the state of Baden-Württemberg.
