Federal Research Minister Anja Karliczek has announced the winners of the first round of the "Clusters4Future" competition sponsored by BMBF (Federal Ministry of Education and Research) in Berlin. Seven new regional innovation networks now have the privilege to call themselves future clusters.
The future cluster QSens from the Stuttgart and Ulm area, with IMS CHIPS being significantly involved, has been named one of the winners of the competition. QSens researches innovative quantum sensors that create unprecedented sensitivity and spatial resolution. The plan is to establish a regional innovative ecosystem that will significantly reduce the high barriers to an increasing use of quantum technologies.
The coordinating hub will be the University of Stuttgart
