24V ASICs hitting the market

March 21, 2012

The industrial research project "24V ASICS" (sponsored by the BMWi, AiF registration no. 16022/N1) that was successfully wrapped up last summer is hitting the market. An automation technology company from the Stuttgart area that wants to use this technology to develop new products has recently been delivered with numerous sample ICs. At the same time IMS CHIPS is planning for the production of the coming wafers with further developed 24V chips at our technology partner Telefunken Semiconductor in Heilbronn. The "24V ASICs" platform will offer the high-tech Smart Power Gate Array technology that combines analog and digital functions as well as high-voltage and power electronics on one microchip to small and medium-sized companies whose demands naturally cover smaller lot sizes.
