On October 25th, 2013, Ministerialdirektor Rolf Schumacher of the Ministerium fÃ¼r Finanzen und Wirtschaft Baden-WÃ¼rttemberg visited the Institut fÃ¼r Mikroelektronik Stuttgart (IMS CHIPS) and presented the funding notification for the fiscal year 2013.
This yearÂ´s funding of the Institut fÃ¼r Mikroelektronik Stuttgart by the Ministerium fÃ¼r Finanzen und Wirtschaft will be 7.24 mio. euros. This is divided into 4.86 mio. euros for operational costs and 2.38 mio. euros will be invested into the modernization of the technical equipment.
Said the Finance and Economics Minister, Nils Schmid: "The Stuttgart-based researchers and their research and services portfolio are an indispensable partner so small and medium-sized companies unable to manage their own research facilities.
