To achieve this goal, in addition to major breakthroughs in quantum physics, advances in the miniaturization and integration are crucial building blocks for the successful commercial use of quantum sensor technology. The QHMI2 project is targeting magnetic quantum sensors for human-machine interfaces (HMI).<\/p><p>In Germany and around the world, more and more people are confronted with the life-changing consequences of amputations, neuromuscular diseases and spinal cord or brain injuries. The resulting physical limitations have a profound impact on the people affected and require technical innovations to restore or improve their quality of life. HMIs have established themselves as central bidirectional communication channels that connect people with a technological periphery.
