IMS CHIPS founding director, Prof. Dr. Bernd Hoefflinger, welcomes Prof. Dr. Niels Quack and presents him with his latest publication “Nano-chips 2030 – On-Chip AI for an Efficient Data-Driven World” (ed. with Boris Murmann).

This meeting was not only a symbolic act of the already 3rd generation change, but also emphasizes a lasting connection between scientific tradition and future-oriented innovative strength. Prof. Hoefflinger has remained actively involved in scientific work – way beyond his official retirement. The meeting impressively illustrates the intergenerational exchange of knowledge that has characterized the IMS for decades.

IMS CHIPS would like to thank Prof. Quack for this special visit and looks forward to the impetus that will arise from the dialog between experience and new leadership.
