innBW Visits: New Impulses for DeepTech Collaboration

On Wednesday, Ms. Fellmann, Managing Director of innBW, and Prof. Dr. Alfons Dehé (Hahn-Schickard), Chairman of the Board of innBW, welcomed our new institute director, Prof. Dr. Niels Quack, and held an initial exchange. The focus of the meeting was on the strategic orientation in the DeepTech sector. Together, they developed initial ideas for a more intensive collaboration among the Baden-Württemberg state institutes—with a clear goal: creating synergies, promoting innovations, and translating research results into market-ready applications more effectively.

A strong symbol of this goal was also visible in the group photo taken in front of the cleanroom: three wafers of different sizes stand as representatives of scaling potential—from basic research to industrial application.

We look forward to further networking and joint projects to strengthen Baden-Württemberg’s innovation capacity in high technology.
