Prof. Dr. Niels Quack Contributes at CLEO 2026 and Receives Fellow Recognition

North Carolina – bringing together approximately 2,500 participants from 40 countries, 90 exhibitors, and international experts from research and industry.

Our institute was represented by Institute Director Prof. Dr. Niels Quack, whose active contribution highlighted our institute’s engagement within the global photonics community.

In addition to participating in the conference, Prof. Dr. Niels Quack contributed as a committee member for “Science & Innovation – Micro- and Nano-Photonic Devices” and served as Session Chair for “On-Chip Optomechanics” and “Thin-Film Lithium Niobate Devices.”

A particular highlight was his recognition as a CLEO Fellow 2026. The distinction honors outstanding scientific achievements and sustained contributions to research and technological innovation and represents one of the highest recognitions within the international scientific community.

Prof. Dr. Niels Quack was among 11 Fellows recognized during CLEO 2026. We warmly congratulate Prof. Dr. Niels Quack on this remarkable achievement.
