From networking. To new opportunities. – PhotonQBoost zu Gast am IMS CHIPS

International networking meets technological expertise: IMS CHIPS hosts the PhotonQBoost Matching Mission in Germany.
On Thursday, October 8, 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming around 50 guests to IMS CHIPS in Stuttgart as part of the PhotonQBoost Matching Mission in Germany. The event brought together representatives from research, industry, and the European photonics and quantum technology ecosystem to foster knowledge exchange and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
Following a welcome address by our Managing Director, Prof. Dr. Niels Quack, participants gained insights into the technological capabilities and expertise of IMS CHIPS. Another highlight of the program provided an opportunity to learn more about Q.ANT’s activities and developments in photonic technologies.
A particular highlight was the guided tour offering insights into the Photonic Line at IMS CHIPS. The visit demonstrated the importance of advanced research infrastructure and the scalability of micro- and nanotechnological innovations in bridging the gap between scientific research and industrial applications.
At the heart of the event was matchmaking: connecting companies, research institutions, and potential project partners. Participants had the opportunity to identify shared interests, discuss technological challenges, and explore potential avenues for future collaboration.
As an application-oriented research institute, IMS CHIPS serves as a bridge between scientific research and industrial applications. Events such as the PhotonQBoost Matching Mission strengthen international networks and provide fresh momentum for the development and scaling of photonic and quantum technologies.
Our sincere thanks go to the PhotonQBoost team for their excellent collaboration and the joint organization of this event, as well as to all participants for the inspiring discussions and open exchange.
We look forward to turning new connections into future innovations!
