From dialogue. To innovation. – CDU Member of State Parliament Albrecht Stickel visits IMS CHIPS
Politics and microelectronics in dialogue: Discussing research, innovation, and Baden-Württemberg as a technology hub.
On Friday, October 9, 2026, our Managing Directors, Prof. Dr. Niels Quack and Prof. Dr. Jens Anders, welcomed Albrecht Stickel, CDU Member of the Baden-Württemberg State Parliament, and Jessica Kläber to IMS CHIPS in Stuttgart.
The visit followed their initial exchange at the Parliamentary Lunch in September and provided an opportunity to continue the dialogue on the future of Baden-Württemberg as a hub for innovation and technology.
The discussions focused on the importance of research and technological innovation for the region’s competitiveness. As an application-oriented research institute, IMS CHIPS plays an important role in advancing microelectronics and translating research results into industrial applications.
Direct dialogue between policymakers and research institutions is an essential element of a strong innovation ecosystem. It fosters mutual understanding of technological developments, current challenges, and the conditions needed to drive sustainable innovation.
We sincerely thank Albrecht Stickel and Jessica Kläber for their interest in our work and the constructive exchange. We look forward to continuing the dialogue and contributing to Baden-Württemberg’s innovative strength.
