What does it feel like to experience cutting-edge technology up close? This is exactly what upper-level high school students discovered at this year’s Study Information Day for Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.

After engaging presentations on campus in the morning, IMS CHIPS opened its doors for an exclusive guided tour – and the response was impressive. Eight highly interested participants seized the opportunity to dive deep into the world of microelectronics and nanostructuring together with our staff.
Surrounded by cleanroom technologies, state-of-the-art equipment, and visionary research topics, it quickly became clear: the future becomes tangible here. The students asked thoughtful questions, absorbed new impressions, and showed an enthusiasm that inspired us in return.
Many would have liked to attend several of the program’s sessions – a clear sign of how fascinating our fields of research are for the next generation.
