Insight into the IEEE Biomedical Circuits and Systems Conference 2025 in Abu Dhabi
From October 15 to 19, 2025, the international IEEE Biomedical Circuits and Systems (BioCAS) Conference took place at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi. Around 200 participants from around the world gathered to discuss the latest research and developments in biomedical circuits and systems.
In the track “Biosensor Devices and Interface Circuits”, Darcy Maguire presented the paper “A Versatile Low-Power ASIC with Dynamic Calibration for Electrical Impedance Tomography”. The collaborative work of Darcy Maguire, Zili Yu, and Prof. Jens Anders focuses on developing an energy-efficient integrated circuit for electrical impedance tomography, contributing to advancements in medical imaging.
In addition to exciting scientific presentations, the conference offered numerous opportunities for professional exchange. Especially inspiring was the dialogue with researchers from various disciplines and the presentation of new approaches and technologies in biomedical sensing and imaging.
The social program also provided excellent networking opportunities – including a dinner on a yacht along the Abu Dhabi coast. A visit to the Grand Palace rounded off the diverse conference program.
We sincerely thank the conference organizers for this excellent event.
